Mission

The Athletic Association of St. Elizabeth, together with the Office of Catholic Youth Ministry (CYM), coaches and parents, strives to provide your child with a positive sports experience. Participation in school sports can give a child a sense of belonging and help to promote self esteem, as well as physical well being. The focus is on good sportsmanship, Christian values, school pride & spirit. More information about our offerings each season are available online.

In support of this mission, the Athletic Association has published Guidelines for Parents & Coaches, including resources and documents, here at our site, and linked to others.

Honor the Game

Positive Coaching Alliance In support of our mission, the St. Elizabeth Athletic Association is proud to lead the diocese in our affiliation with the Positive Coaching Alliance. The Alliance is based at Stanford University, and aims to 'transfrom youth sports so sports can transform youth', to give all young athletes the opportunity for a positive, character-building experience. Through our partnership with the PCA, we will provide resources for our coaches, athetes and parents. The PCA provides more information and resources on their website.

For the Sake of God's children

For the Sake of God's Children To protect all of our most precious resources, the St. Elizabeth Athletic Associaion fully supports and complies with the Diocese of Wilmington's For the Sake of God's Children initiative. This initiative is a program focused on the continuous development of a safe environment in our communities. The program has three major components:

The diocesan website for this program also includes rules, guidelines, resources, and materials for the entire parish community.
