New Look!
Well, here it is; we've finally launched with the 'New Look' VikingsAthletics.com site! With the additional help of Paul Immediato on site content updates, we were able to fully realize the possibilities provided by the new technology. While the new look is up and running, there are still some warts and broken pieces here and there, and, of course the Photo Gallery is not yet up and running. Log a comment, or drop us a line to let us know how you like the new look.
One key improvement is the use of a Movable Type Content Management System. This will allow this site to be more interactive and more frequently updated.
In addition, the entire site is realized using Microsoft's .NET technology. If anyone's interested in the under the hood stuff, look at our about page, or drop me a line. In general, though, the big improvement is that things like menu's, contact lists, rosters, and schedules are persisted, presented and managed in one place, then propagated throughout the site. It's been a fun learning experience, but it's ultimately wasted if the site is not usable and exciting, so please:
